I am married and have three daughters and six grandchildren, with another on the way. I currently reside in Brisbane, Australia.
After leaving St Joseph's, I completed training as a clinical psychologist at the University of Sydney and did further collaborative work with Stanford and London Universities in psychological rehabilitation. I retired as the Director of Psychology, Princess Alexandra Hospital Health District, in 2005, after 40 years in public mental health services. I am still involved in training and teaching and I hold an Adjunct Professor status at the Queensland University of Technology and at the Behavioral Basis of Health Centre of Griffith University.
My current activities include travelling, hacking at golf, trying to teach myself the piano, interfering in my grandchildren's moral development and annoying my wife.
